David is responsible for CLF’s macroeconomic and market outlook, theme identification, portfolio management, trading and risk management. David is also primarily responsible the portfolios exposure to the Financials sector. Prior to joining CLF, David was Chief Investment Officer at Crestone Wealth Management, one of Australia’s premier wealth managers for high and ultra-high net worth clients. Before this, David was the Head of Investment Strategy at UBS Wealth Management Australia. Before that, he was a senior analyst and trader for a US-based global macro hedge fund, which managed capital for US institutions and high net worth individuals. David holds a PhD in Applied Finance from RMIT and a First-Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Newcastle. He is an expert market commentator on SKY Business and CNBC, as well as a regular contributor to the print media.
Trevor Huynh is responsible for conducting fundamental bottom-up analysis on CLF’s targeted universe of ASX listed equities. Prior to joining CLF, Trevor spent three years as an investment analyst covering global emerging markets at Remerga Funds Management and seven years as an equities analyst at Citigroup focusing on Australian Industrials. Trevor graduated with a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce/Science from the University of Sydney and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
Gino joined CLF in June 2019 and is responsible for conducting fundamental research on CLF's targeted universe of ASX listed equities. Prior to joining CLF, Gino spent eight years as an investment analyst covering building materials, paper & packaging, steel, chemicals and various industrials in the ASX 200 for UBS Asset Management. Prior to that he was a senior performance analyst at Colonial First State and an equities dealer at AllianceBernstein. Gino graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Finance/Information Systems from the University of New South Wales and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
